Another Bastille Day celebration has come and gone. It was extremely gratifying to see all of our former rescues secure in their new homes and enjoying life with new families. It was also obvious that as great as that was for the dogs, the benefits had been reciprocal and the new owners were as happy as the dogs. Although my "mixer" game of Famous Pairs was a bust (the only four people who won were an eight year old who had "Hansel" and found "Gretel" and another two adults, thinking poker, came up with a pair of two "Charles") the event as a whole was fun and our coffers were greatly enriched. There were plenty of French croissants, macarons, tuilles and Venetians, as well as Poodle shaped gingerbreads, French cheeses, limonade, and coffee. and an educational opportunity to see hands on training in obedience, rally and dog tricks. Thank you all for coming, supporting us, and being there for the dogs. We couldn't do it without you.
